10th Regional General Council - Floods in India and Pakistan

In this resolution, the ITUC-AP expresses its grief over the devastating floods in India and Pakistan causing the loss of property and deaths of hundreds of people. The Council expresses further concern that the thousands of workers who were rendered homeless and are waiting for rehabilitation were unable to resume work because of the flood’s damages to their workplace. While trade unions are commendable in their relief and rehabilitation work, the ITUC, ITUC-AP, and affiliates are called to support the affected people in coming out of this tragic situation.
