14th Regional General Council - ENSURING WOMEN’S PARTICIPATION IN PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF FUTURE OF WORK DIALOGUES AT ALL LEVELS

Document
Resolution
1
Dec 2016

Despite the advances in the world of work, the ITUC-AP recognizes that women still face the grim reality that their future work will continue to be characterized by persistent gender gaps in employment, earnings, working conditions, and other labor market dimensions and representations in politics, public and private sectors and elsewhere.

The ILO Future of Work Initiative is welcomed in their undertaking to better work, wage, and society. However, the ITUC-AP expresses concern on whether women have been involved in the planning, discussions, implementation, and outcomes. Affiliates are called to initiate discussions, preparation, and cooperation with all relevant parties to include and empower women in the workplace.
