The resolution on Afghanistan condemns the continuing violations of trade union and human rights under the Taliban regime, including its attempt to replace the National Union of Afghanistan Workers and Employees (NUAWE) with an illegitimate union. It expresses solidarity with the Afghan people affected by the 31 August 2025 Jalalabad earthquake, reaffirms full support for NUAWE and its president Maroof Qaderi, and urges the International Labour Organization (ILO) to intensify its engagement to ensure the implementation of freedom of association recommendations.
