27th Regional General Council: Resolution No. 3 - Strengthening Workers–Farmers’ Struggles against Regressive Labour Laws in India

The 27^th Regional General Council reiterated its condemnation of the Indian government’s regressive labour codes and its interference in workers’ representation at international forums. It recognised the unity of Central Trade Unions (CTUs) and farmers’ organisations (SKM) in mobilising massive protests across the country, including the 9 July 2025 Bharat Bandh. The Resolution calls for the withdrawal of anti-labour policies, reinstatement of the 117 Maruti Suzuki workers who were wrongfully dismissed, and an end to restrictions on workers’ delegations to the ILO
