27th Regional General Council: Resolution No. 5 - Solidarity with the Imprisoned Trade Unionists and the Independent Trade Union Movement in Hong Kong

The Resolution on Hong Kong expresses solidarity with Brother Lee Cheuk Yan and Sister Winnie Yu, who remain imprisoned under the National Security Law, and notes the release of Sister Carol Ng after serving a four-year sentence. It condemns the continued repression of independent trade unions and the enactment of the National Security Ordinance (Article 23 Law) and amendments to the Trade Union Ordinance, which further restrict civil liberties. The 27th Regional General Council urged affiliates to campaign for Lee’s release and to support coordinated global actions in solidarity with Hong Kong’s democratic movement.
