27th Regional General Council: Resolution No. 7 - Condemning Workers’ Rights Violations in Chinese Hydropower Projects in Pakistan

This Resolution condemns the detention of Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI) delegates and the filing of police cases against trade union leaders following their visit to hydropower dam sites managed by Chinese companies in Pakistan. It demands the withdrawal of charges, reinstatement of dismissed workers, and compliance with International Labour Organization Conventions Nos. 87 and 98. It also calls on international financial institutions and the All-China Federation of Trade Unions (ACFTU) to take action against these violations.
