7th Regional General Council - Resolution On Pakistan

In this resolution, the ITUC-AP expresses its concern over the expiry of Industrial Relations Ordinance 2011 and the dysfunctionality of the National Industrial Relations Commission (NIRC). It appreciates that the Parliament through resolutions extended its Constitutional validity for another 120 days. ITUC-AP is further concerned that if the parliament does not adopt this ordinance into Act then trade unions and federations at the national level will greatly suffer, and demands that the Parliament adopt the Federal Industrial Relations Act before the deadline of 17 March so that unions and the regulating authority (NIRC) remain intact.
