9th Regional General Council - Afghanistan Enactment of Labour Law

In this resolution, the Council welcomes the National Union of Afghanistan Workers and Employees (NUAWE) to the ITUC & ITUC-AP, and expresses concern over the lack of industrial relation laws, regulatory system for the formation of unions, collective bargaining, dispute settlement, and labor judiciary as with other South Asian countries.

With this, the Council urges the Afghanistan government to enact labor legislation to address the concerns above, and requests of the ITUC-AP to continue to support NUAWE in capacity building, leadership training for women and youth on basic trade union topics including collective bargaining.
