ITUC-AP Gender Equality and Pay Equity Verification Manual

The 2015 edition of the ITUC-Asia Pacific Gender Equality and Pay Equity Verification Manual is meant to serve as a supplementary resource that affiliates can use to complement existing tools in conducting gender audits at the workplace. The Participatory Gender Audit (PGA) is a self-assessment tool for identifying workers’ perceptions of the current status of gender equality. It is also used to identify opportunities, challenges, and key areas that need strengthening.

The manual is organized into three parts: Part I introduces the manual and its place in the overall ITUC-AP Framework on Gender Equality, and describes the general stages in gender audit; Part II introduces the two types of verification checklists (the Workplace Gender Equality Verification Checklist (QUENCH) and the Workplace Pay Equity Verification Checklist (WATER)), and contains instructions for completing/administering the Checklists; Part III includes related references, templates, and practical guides to help affiliates put the gender audit process in place.
